Cruise through Sedona's famous Uptown district, then climb Airport Mesa for the most iconic red rock panorama in Arizona.

Grab lunch at Elote Café or The Hudson. Sedona has some of the best restaurants in Arizona — the views from every patio are unreal.

Drive the Red Rock Loop Road past Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock — the most photographed formations in Sedona. Stop at every pullout.

Head back through Cottonwood and the Verde Valley. Stop at Montezuma Castle National Monument — a 700-year-old cliff dwelling.

Head northeast on Shea Blvd, then pick up the Bush Highway south into the Tonto National Forest. Saguaro cactus lines both sides of the road.

One of the best open-road drives in the Phoenix area. Wide lanes, desert scenery, and the Salt River alongside. Watch for wild horses along the corridor.

The lake is a deep turquoise against red canyon walls. The Dolly Steamboat runs narrated lake cruises on weekends. The marina restaurant opens at 7 AM on weekends.

The Bush Highway back toward Scottsdale is as good as the drive out — wide lanes, desert scenery, and almost no traffic. The perfect open-air return.

Head northeast on Shea Blvd through the McDowell Mountain foothills. The road climbs gently through desert terrain with views of Camelback Mountain behind you.

Stop at Fountain Park to see the Fountain Hills fountain — one of the world's tallest at 560 feet. The park sits on the edge of a lake with mountain views in every direction.

Explore the town center — cafes, restaurants, and shops with mountain views from every street. A relaxed, upscale desert community feel.

Head back west on Shea Blvd to Old Town. The return drive is as scenic as the outbound — the McDowell Mountains behind you, Camelback Mountain ahead.

Pick up your Slingshot as the afternoon heat breaks. The golden hour light on the desert is the best backdrop for your first photos.

Cruise the canal district as the city lights begin to reflect on the water. The Waterfront is Scottsdale's most photogenic neighborhood.

Dinner at Mastro's City Hall, FnB, or Maple & Ash. Valet the Slingshot out front — the reaction from the valet team alone is worth it.

Cruise Scottsdale Road as the nightlife kicks into gear. Every bar, every restaurant, every pedestrian — all eyes on the Slingshot.

End the night at a rooftop bar — Riot House, Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, or the W Scottsdale. The city lights from above are the perfect ending.
