Cruise through Sedona's famous Uptown district, then climb Airport Mesa for the most iconic red rock panorama in Arizona.

Grab lunch at Elote Café or The Hudson. Sedona has some of the best restaurants in Arizona — the views from every patio are unreal.

Drive the Red Rock Loop Road past Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock — the most photographed formations in Sedona. Stop at every pullout.

Head back through Cottonwood and the Verde Valley. Stop at Montezuma Castle National Monument — a 700-year-old cliff dwelling.

Head east on US-60 through Mesa and Gold Canyon. The Superstition Mountains rise dramatically to the north — the legendary home of the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine.

The first of four lakes on the Apache Trail. Canyon Lake sits in a narrow canyon carved by the Salt River — the water is impossibly blue against the red rock.

Population 6. The last remaining stagecoach stop on the Apache Trail. Get a prickly pear ice cream and sign the dollar bill wall.

Head back and take the Lost Dutchman State Park loop for the best views of the Superstition Mountains. The geology here is unlike anywhere else on Earth.

The town that gold built — and gold abandoned. Explore the mine tours, the narrow gauge railroad, and the gunfight shows.

Head back west on US-60 as the afternoon light turns the desert gold. Stop at Usery Mountain Regional Park for one last sunset view.

Pick up your Slingshot as the afternoon heat breaks. The golden hour light on the desert is the best backdrop for your first photos.

Cruise the canal district as the city lights begin to reflect on the water. The Waterfront is Scottsdale's most photogenic neighborhood.

Dinner at Mastro's City Hall, FnB, or Maple & Ash. Valet the Slingshot out front — the reaction from the valet team alone is worth it.

Cruise Scottsdale Road as the nightlife kicks into gear. Every bar, every restaurant, every pedestrian — all eyes on the Slingshot.

End the night at a rooftop bar — Riot House, Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, or the W Scottsdale. The city lights from above are the perfect ending.
